⚈ Basilica is closed to visitors 6:30 PM-7:30 PM for event preparations, requiring an extra entry ticket

⚈ When you visit the Cistern, be sure to queue on the right line mentioned as "ONLINE TICKET QUEUE"

⚈ Kids under 5 may enter the basilica for free with a valid ID, but must have an adult accompanying them

⚈ For safety reasons, kids under 15 are not allowed to enter without their parents

⚈ Entry with pets is allowed if they are in a carrying case

⚈ The humidity inside the cistern is 96%, therefore, water drips from the ceiling, which can damage electronic devices

⚈ The interior of the cistern is dark, the floor is slippery, and the railing is low. Leaning or sitting on the railings is dangerous and prohibited

⚈ Wheelchair is accesible. The exit of the Basilica Cistern has a wheelchair platform lift to get down the stairs. It is located on Alemdar street near the tram line.
